Shayla D. Harris, MS, LPC, NCC

​Shayla is a licensed professional counselor with an eclectic therapeutic orientation. She acknowledges that each client requires a personal and individual course of treatment. So, working in partnership with you, Shayla hopes to help you find and apply an approach that will best suit your needs and create holistic results for an overall healthier life. Throughout her years in the counseling field and particularly as a military spouse she has been exposed to diverse populations and is able to utilize and apply her experience with a variety of ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds.

She provides professional counseling services to children, adolescents and adults and enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families. While her overall orientation may be eclectic, Shayla tends to lean more toward a Person-Centered approach and incorporates the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy among other modalities and approaches. She has experience in a variety of areas, including: anxiety, depression, anger management, grief/loss, PTSD, hoarding, relationship issues, stress management, mood disorders, and parenting skills. Shayla is committed to providing effective counseling in a nonjudgmental atmosphere/environment and counts it a privilege to walk with you on your journey through life’s pathways.










Erin Ashby, PsyD
Dr. Ashby is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in  trauma, sports performance enhancement, gifted child assessments, work performance and ADA accommodation evaluations.  Trained in a variety of treatment modalities personalized to the client's style and issues. Specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.  Dr. Ashby also enjoys researching all kinds of health and wellness issues.  She reviews and synthesizes information for clients to put to use and is the primary blog writer.


Cynthia A. Cruz, MA, MFTC,

​Cynthia is a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate in the state of Colorado currently working toward her professional license as a marriage and family therapist under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
She is passionate about helping children and adolescents that are experiencing behavioral issues due to situations such as a traumatic event(s), divorce, and/or peer-relationships. Cynthia provides individual, couples, and family therapy. Cynthia works from a Solution-Focused and Experiential approach and utilizes sand tray when it is difficult for clients to express themselves verbally. She incorporates other modalities and treatments as well. She has experience with trauma, abuse, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, anger, stress, self-esteem, parenting skills and more. If you are looking for a bias and judge-free space for you to express your emotions she can provide a safe place to talk.
Cynthia completed her clinical internship at TESSA, a non-profit organization for domestic violence and sexual assault. While interning at TESSA she also assisted in implementing a program for families who have been affected by trauma. The program provided parenting skills for mothers and education for children to help the families function after being affected by trauma. ​

Paul Gutierrez, MBA, MA, LMFT, LPC, NCC
Paul is licensed as a professional counselor and marriage and family therapist with over 25 years of experience providing treatment services in a wide variety of areas including depression, anxiety, grief, research, combat stress control, wellness, community counseling, confinement counseling, abandonment issues, veterans issues, substance abuse, trauma, families and couples.  Specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing EMDR for processing traumatic and distressing experiences and feelings. He incorporates level one Gottman couples counseling methods with couples to improve their relationship and utilizes a systemic approach with families.  He is said to be authentic, compassionate and empathetic with his clients.  He works with children age six and up to adults, couples and families from any culture.
